What are these dolls?
They are called BJDs or ABJDs ( 'ball-jointed dolls' or 'Asain
ball-jointed dolls' ). They originate from Japan, by a company called
Volks, which called them the 'Super Dollfie'. They are made out of
eurethane resin and vary in skin tones from 'Beauty White' to 'Tan
skin', etc. They are fully articulated with ball and socket joints.
There are many different companies which followed Volks in making these
BJDs, including some from Korea and China. They are fully customizable;
you can change just about anything on them from their wigs to their eyes
to their clothes. Every doll is unqique, as each owner pours their
creativy into every aspect of their doll.
If you are interested in learning more about these dolls I suggest you
visit
http://denofangels.com/forums, which is a forum completely
dedicated to BJDs. You will find out everything you need to know there.

Wiki page.
Where can I buy these dolls?
I wouldn't be able to name you every single site that sells them off the
bat since there are too many, but once again the links I mentioned
above can also help you out with that.

Where do you get your dolls' clothes?
Once again, there are many different sites and users on the forums I get
my doll clothes from. They're basically just a bunch that I've gathered
over time, not from one place in particular. I even make some of my
dolls' clothes myself.
Here are some wonderful clothing sites; a few from my personal

I like your pictures...Can I use them for...
No matter what the case is, I will usually let you use my photos under a
few conditions:
1. You must ask me first.
2. You must leave my logo on the photos.
3. You must give me full credit for whatever it is you're doing.
4. If it involves artwork, you must show me afterwards! ^_~
Which camera are you using?
My camera is a Digital Canon Rebel XT, with an EFS 18-55mm lens and a
0.28m/0.9ft focus.
So who are they anyway?
My dolls are my own original characters which I've spent loads of time
developing and making my own. I write a few of their stories, some I do
in my head, and some I am still developing into more depth. I love them
deeply and through each of them I try and bring out at least one aspect
of myself, so I can connect with them and fully understand them.
My characters/dolls and their molds:
Shuro Morrison > Migidoll Jina boy
Kitomi Haruko > Morioka CP Soony
Rin Harrow Morioka > Migidoll Jina boy
Reno Morioka > Volks SD13 Heath
Dakota Jensen > Volks SD10 F-01 Sara
What about you?
I've been into dolls as far back as I can remember. I've always loved
them, from Barbies to little fairies, so I was enthralled by this
enormous and magical hobby when I was about 11, and I am now 18. |
