Rin Morioka lived a happy and content
life as a child, alongside his older sister Kitomi and loving parents Vin and
Sue Morioka. His fondest memories are those of his childhood, when he
was happiest. He's constantly haunted by those wonderful memories, like
when he and Kitomi used to get in trouble for climbing the large tree in
their grandparents' yard, or the countless times they went on their
annual family vacations to beautiful getaways. He hates reminiscing.
Rin's life was drastically turned upside-down while on the way to a
cousin's wedding with his sister and parents. In front of the church,
their vehicle was brutally ambushed by a jealous vengeful clan, who
always loathed Rin's father, leader of the Blood on the Moon clan. This
rivaling family believed that Vin killed
the boss of their clan's son, and therefore has been on a rampage since
the murder. Vin did not kill the son himself; although it was an
accidental shooting done by the hand of one of Blood Moon's
soldiers. Vin and the rest of his clan decided to dismiss that soldier
from the clan because of all the unnecessary drama with the other Salimone family. However, the Salimone
family did not give up, for they
still believed Vin ordered the kill and so the ambush took place.
During the ambush, Vin, already wounded, stepped out of the vehicle to
surrender to the Salimones and to protect his family on the inside of
the car; he knew they only wanted him. Rin, 13 years old at the time,
frantically stepped out of the car as well to attempt to stop his father
from his surrender. Vin protected his son even still, taking all the
hits.
Sue protected Kitomi on the inside of the car, but took in too many
glass shards to survive.
The children were rushed to the hospital after that. Their parents'
injuries were too fatal to live.
This experience changed the lives of the Morioka children forever.
Kitomi and Rin were separated; Kitomi sent off to live with her
grandparents on her mother's side, in
Shibuya, Tokyo, while Rin stayed in New York and got sent over to live
with his father's Italian family where
he stayed with his uncle Daniel Morioka and cousin Reno.
When Vin died, all of Blood Moon fell apart and all of the other members
quit, not wanting to continue without their leader. A few short months
later, Rin pledged to conduct the Blood Moon organization in his
father's place and seek revenge on his father's killer until his soul be
brought to justice. His cousin Reno stepped in and agreed to be back on
the team as well. They attempted to ask the old members if they would be
interested in re-joining the group but none of them wanted to take
orders from a kid. So the cousins started afresh on their own, keeping
the name of the organization in memory of Rin's father. They moved into
the 'Morioka house', which is a legacy for all of those part of the
organization. |

NOTE... |
Blood on the Moon, or simply
Blood Moon, is a crime organization
founded by Vin Morioka, Rin's father. This organization aids individuals
with any personal conflicts, such as embroilments with other
individuals that they want solved with violence. Example; a
businessman hires Blood Moon to execute a rivaling CEO. They get paid on
commission great deals of money for each man killed. Men from all over
the country know who to contact when they want a job done. It is now
lead by Rin Morioka.
As time passes, however, and as more members are added to the team, the
more their area of business expands. In a way they are crime fighters,
eliminating criminals but in a way that contradicts the law. |
