Personality: Reno is a highly intelligent perfectionist. He knows a lot about everything and in this way he is more of a leader to the group than Rin. Though, interaction is not his area of expertise. He is secretive and very difficult to read; half the time his own cousin and sister have no idea what's going through his head. He is mysterious and deep, skilled in what he does, and strictly grounded. He doesn't believe in life after death or anything else that can't be explained scientifically. He's serious, intense and is the one that is always looking out for the team. He's opinionated, and if yours is opposed to him he won't let you hear the end of it. He's in line and respectable. He believes in his work being 'stricly business' and nothing personal so he's not shaken by killing someone. He is kind of narcissistic except when it comes to the ones he really loves and cares deeply for.

History:
Reno grew up in Sicily, Italy with his father Daniel Morioka, Don of the Morioka Family. Reno was always the quiet kid, taking in anything and everything he saw and experienced. Daniel's brother Vin would often bring his children Rin and Kitomi over to Italy to visit the family, so the children would play and wreak havoc while the parents talked important business.
By the age of eighteen Reno became his own father's consigliere, making educated decisions for the Morioka Family. This job wasn't appeasing Reno too much since he's more the type who likes to get in on the action instead of sitting back and keeping his hands clean. So, after he and his father moved to New York City, he joined his uncle Vin in the Blood on the Moon organization, where he worked as a contract killer. Each kill gained him a good sum of money, which had to be split amongst the other members of Blood Moon.
When Vin died, Blood Moon fell apart and all of the other members resigned, not wanting to continue without their leader. Reno considered going back to be his father's consigliere, until his cousin Rin (Vin's son) came along and got the organization back on it's toes. They attempted to ask the old members if they would be interested in re-joining the group but none of them wanted to take orders from a kid.
The cousins started afresh on their own, keeping the name of the organization in memory of Rin's father. They moved into the 'Morioka house', which is a legacy for all of those part of the organization.

NOTE...
Blood on the Moon, or simply Blood Moon, is a crime organization founded by Vin Morioka, Kitomi and Rin's father. This organization aids individuals with any personal conflicts, such as embroilments with other individuals that they want solved with violence. Example; a businessman hires Blood Moon to execute a rivaling CEO. They get paid on commission great deals of money for each man killed. Men from all over the country know who to contact when they want a job done. It is now lead by Rin Morioka.
As time passes, however, and as more members are added to the team, the more their area of business expands. In a way they are crime fighters, eliminating criminals but in a way that contradicts the law.
